The plot goes like this. It’s the year 2024, and you’ve discovered you have amazing powers you can’t control. That’s what happens to Percy, faced with a weird future he never asked for and doesn’t want. Things get worse when a load of mythical monsters decide to mess with him. Poor Percy is forced to learn how to be a hero because ignoring his destiny will throw the whole world out of balance.

Percy and his friends embark on an epic adventure to return Zeus's stolen lightning bolt, battling to prove the boy’s innocence and stop war breaking out between the gods. He travels to the Underworld and back, solves the curious riddle of the Oracle, and ultimately comes to terms with the dad who abandoned him.

The Percy Jackson series is incredibly popular. The books have sold more than 180 million copies across the world, and the stories have been turned into movies as well as a well-loved Disney+ TV series.

The fun is being produced by Bill Kenwright Ltd and Paul Taylor-Mills, with a book by Joe Tracz (Be More Chill), music and lyrics by Rob Rokicki (Monstersongs). The direction and choreography comes from Lizzi Gee (Groundhog Day).

The show first premiered off-Broadway in 2014 then went on to tour the USA, with more off-Broadway success in 2017. It finally landed on Broadway in 2019. Now it’s in the capital to immerse you in a world of magic and myth that, just like the books, inspires adults and children alike.
