Cast announced for SCENES FROM A REPATRIATION at the Royal Court Theatre

Joel Tan's shape-shifting play will head to the Royal Court Theatre this spring with performances beginning on 25 April 2025.

Directed by emma + pj, the cast for Scenes from a Repatriation includes Kaja Chan (The 47th, Old Vic), Aidan Cheng (The Good Person of Szechwan, Lyric Hammersmith), Jon Chew (Pacific Overtures, Menier Chocolate Factory), Fiona Hampton (The Forsyte Sage, Park Theatre), Robin Khor Yong Kuan (Bat Night Market, LIFT) and Sky Yang (The Book of Dust, Bridge Theatre).
A 1000-year-old statue of the Boddhisattva Guan Yin lives in The British Museum. Scenes from a Repatriation follows the statue's journey from China to Britain and back again, stirring up centuries of ghosts. This play will question who can claim artefacts and why.
Scenes from a Repatriation will play the Royal Court Theatre from 25 April - 24 May 2025.
