About A Midsummer Night's Dream

One of Shakespeare's most enduring comedies, A Midsummer Night's Dream follows four young Athenian lovers, caught in a confusing love quadrangle and seeking to escape the oppressive forces of family and society, who flee into the forest beyond the city walls. There they find themselves ensnared in a world of mischievous fairies, where King Oberon and Queen Titania fight over the ownership of a changeling child and the trickster Puck causes further confusion among the lovers.

Chaotic, enchanting, and dreamy, A Midsummer Night's Dream has been revived countless times in London and around the world, including for multiple different seasons at Shakespeare's Globe. This year, you can catch another production of this play at Regent's Park Open Air Theatre in the summer.

The Cast

The cast will comprise Audrey Brisson (nominated for an Olivier Award for her performance in Amelie) as Hippolyta/Titania, Sophie Cox as Hermia, Jamal Franklin as Snug, Michael Grady-Hall as Puck, Gareth Kennerley as Egeus/Flute, Mel Lowe as Lysander, Victoria Moseley as Quince, Enyi Okoronkwo as Oberon/Theseus, Em Prendergast as Snout, Adrian Richards as Bottom, Gavi Singh Chera as Demetrius, and Romaya Weaver as Helena.

The Creative Team

A Midsummer Night's Dream will be directed by Emily Lim (The Odyssey), with Amber Medway as Assistant Director, Jim Fortune as Composer, Jaquie Davis as Costume Superviser, Aldo Vazquez as Designer, Haruka Kuroda as Fight and Intimacy Director, James Cousins as Movement Director and Choreographer, and Zac Gvi as Orchestrator and Arranger.
