Adam Kay - This is Going to Hurt (Secret Diaries of a Junior Doctor) description

Award-winning comedian Adam Kay shares entries from his diaries as a junior doctor in this “electrifying” (Guardian) evening of stand-up and music.

The show has been seen by over 200,000 people, including absolute sell-out Edinburgh Fringe runs from 2016 to 2019, plus UK tours and multiple West End runs between 2017 and 2020.

The accompanying book, ‘This is Going to Hurt’ is a Sunday Times bestseller, and is being turned into a major BBC series. Signed copies will be available for purchase on the night.

‘Intersperses horror stories from the NHS frontline with a catalogue of sublimely silly spoof songs, and some blissfully brilliant wordplay’

★★★★★ Mail on Sunday

‘Hilarious and heartbreaking’ Charlie Brooker

Please note: In accordance with government guidelines, the auditorium has been organised into socially distant groups that are 1 metre apart in all directions. These must be purchased in full at the time of booking and can only comprise of single households, or a support bubble.

Disappointing - bit too much soapbox and political whinging for a comedy show

Really liked Adam and his story. Touched by his experiences, and his delivery was great for the comedy content. Having bought 'good' seats I was thoroughly disappointed that after less than an hour it was all over... I was expecting an interval, but nope, that's all folks!

Brilliant!

Loved the book, and even better seeing it live with great entertainment from a genuinely good guy.
