Inspired by the story of the first all-female sailing crew to compete in the Whitbread Round the World race, the new musical plays for a limited season this summer.

With book and lyrics and Mindi Dickstein and music by Carmel Dean, the production now playing at Southwark Playhouse Elephant will be directed by Tara Overfield Wilkinson.
This new musical follows the thrilling and unforgettable journey across oceans and horizons. The true story of Tracy and her crew's epic adventure will come to life in a sweeping, extraordinary new musical.
The cast for Maiden Voyage includes Chelsea Halfpenny (9 to 5: The Musical, Savoy Theatre) as Tracy Edwards, Naomi Alade (SIX, Vaudeville Theatre) as Jo, Laura Tyrer (Chicago, European tour) as Pat, Shahaf Ifhar (Tom Lehrer is Teaching Math and Doesn’t Want to Talk to You, Upstairs at the Gatehouse) as King Hussein, Juliette Artigala (Les Misérables, Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris) as Michele/Tanja, Alex Bowen (Mrs Doubtfire The Musical, Shaftesbury Theatre) as Dawn Riley, Molly Cleere (Ghost The Musical, UK Tour) as Nancy, Sam DeFeo (professional debut) as Mandi, Olivia Hewitt-Jones (Rocky Horror Show, UK Tour) as Marie Claude, Rowan Macpherson (Spring Awakening, Phoenix Arts Club) as Sally, Olivia Mitchell (Beauty and the Beast, Wolverhampton Grand Theatre) as Claire, Billy Roberts (Mrs Doubtfire The Musical, Shaftesbury Theatre) as Walter/Reporter/Navigator and Daniel Robinson (Glory Ride, Charing Cross Theatre) as Howard Reporter.
