A comedy-drama, That Bastard, Puccini! tells the hilarious and captivating tale of musical plagiarism, fierce competition, and an explosive rivalry between two of opera’s legendary composers, Giacomo Puccini and Ruggero Leoncavallo. In their race to claim La Bohème as their own, it leads to a 'battle of the Bohemes' as they each create their own version.
Directed by Daniel Slater, the cast includes Alasdair Buchan (The Mousetrap, West End) as Leoncavallo and Sebastien Torkia (Dracula – A Comedy of Terrors, Menier Chocolate Factory) as Giacomo Puccini, with Lisa-Anne Wood (Wicked, West End) as Berthe.
The creative team for That Bastard, Puccini! is completed by set and costume designer Carly Brownbridge, lighting design by Katy Morison and sound design by Yvonne Gilbert.
That Bastard, Puccini! will play at the Park Theatre from 10 July to 9 August 2025.
