The Lost Boys in London
Based on the 1987 cult classic film from Joel Schumacher, The Lost Boys follows two brothers, Michael and Sam, who move to a vampire-infested coastal town with their newly-divorced mother. Elder brother Michael falls in with a group of glam-rock biker vampires who tempt him with the promise of eternal life. When Michael begins transforming into a vampire, it's up to his younger brother Sam to save him, with the help of the eccentric vampire hunter Frog brothers.
The Lost Boys features a book by David Hornsby and Chris Hoch, a score by indie band The Rescues, and direction by three-time Tony winner Michael Arden. Every bit as dark, funny, and seductive as the film that captured the imaginations of a whole generation of vampire-obsessed audiences, this stage adaptation opened on Broadway this year and was already nominated for 12 Tony Awards, walking away with four. Thrillingly, UK audiences will get to experience this fang-tastic musical when it makes its way across the pond.
