At the centre of Noughts and Crosses are two lifelong friends, Callum and Sephy who meet secretly and come from two separate worlds. When Callum is accepted into Cross School, the prestigious school where Sephy attends, will it bring them closer together, or will the hate and fear surrounding them drive them apart? The novel, which was released in 2001, has echoes of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet.
Noughts and Crosses plays at Regent's Park Open Air Theatre until 26 July 2025
