OVO - Cirque du Soleil in London
The critically acclaimed and widely beloved OVO by Cirque du Soleil returns to the Royal Albert Hall. OVO, meaning ‘egg' in Portuguese, brings to life a world of a world of crickets, ants, butterflies, spiders, and beetles, all performing thrilling acrobatics, featuring dazzling costumes, immersive staging, brilliantly original choreography, and a heartwarming story about the love between a fly and a ladybug and the appearance of a mysterious egg.
In true Cirque du Soleil style, this show aims to amaze and inspire, filled with acts that feature trampolines, contortion, food juggling, slackwire, and aerial silks - all inspired by the insects portrayed onstage. The colourful floral backdrop and 19 meter climbing wall will immerse you into this strange, wonderful, and magical world. Creative staging and clever storytelling come together in this bold and brilliant show, which stars 53 acrobats and musicians from 25 countries, and which won hearts when it first premiered in 2009.
