lovely nostalgia

good balance between live and recorded stuff - all memorable and enjoyable, especially for "those of a certain age".

Historical

I enjoyed the show; it was good, not too sure about the film content of dusty. I think it got in the way of the show. I felt music up beat and could have been played as the audience were coming into the auditorium, to get the flavour of the show.

Thoroughly enjoyable!

I liked the show for it's music content and songs. The singers wre very good along with the acting. I liked the way they used technology/laser special effects for the background and for Dusty Springfield herself singing. Would recommend for anyone who is a Dusty Springfield fan.

Not a great experience

Whilst I adore Dusty's deep and husky tones, the renditions by the stage actors were positively painful to my eardrums at times. I thought the dancing was superb but unfortunately the vocals did not match. However, some of the individual numbers were very good and it was clear that the vocalists could sing however the acoustic management was dreadful. I also think the story was too shallow without depth to engage the audience.

Heart to the 60's

This is a great story to Dusty's early career and how it all began. The 60's scene is very well illustrated and the actors were amazing.

Wishin' & Hoping to go again

This show is only on a short run until November 21. The Charing Cross theatre, is only small, and it is a good view from wherever you sit as the floor is on a gradient from row D back. However, to appreciate this show, I would recommend getting seats from row L back rather than any nearer the stage. The press reviews this week were not good at all, but disregard those and see the show for yourselves, I promise you won't be disappointed. If you love the music of Dusty Springfield you will enjoy this show. There are b/w videos/images of Dusty which the cast work well around to make the show seamless. All the cast work very hard and appear to be enjoying themselves. There is an excellent finale where the audience has the opportunity to join the singing.

From a lifelong Dusty fan

I enjoyed the show, which took me back to my youth and loving Dusty's music. I felt the story was a fair account, but did not bring out the zany side of Dusty's personality. However, the music was great and the cast did a brilliant job.

Delicious Dusty

The only negative about this show was the dreadful wigs used by Dusty and her mother otherwise a very enjoyable, happy production. It was also very hot in the theatre. The three girl singers were absolutely brilliant especially the small one.

Great show, shame about heating

It was a fab show up until interval, the heating went on and it got hotter and hotter it was unbearable, maybe just a hiccup on the night. Voices were amazing very strong!! Nice theatre staff too. Food was good in restaurant too.
