Phil Sealey, contributing writer

Phil is an experienced actor, a some time assistant director and a reluctant web designer. Trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and has performed variously in Shakespeare, childrens theatre, new writing, Greek tragedy, Roman comedy, pantomime and musical theatre. He also spent 5 years as a Stage Door Keeper in the West End where he was nicknamed 'smiler'! He recently appeared in Les Enfants Terribles' 'Alice's Adventures Underground' and is currently working on Sondheims 'Road Show' at the Union Theatre.

Review: HOW THE OTHER HALF LOVES at the Haymarket Theatre

How The Other Half Loves Alan Ayckbourn's HOW THE OTHER HALF LOVES is a very good play. A comedy of manners, we are presented with an upper middle class couple, The Fosters, a lower middle class couple, The Phillips and the Featherstones, a timid couple that sit somewhere in between. Much of the action concerns the interplay of these couples and their social differences in how they deal with their wives and the wives of others when rumours of marital dalliances abound.

Escaped Alone Caryl Churchill’s new play Escaped Alone begins in the most ordinary way - Mrs Jarrett, a nosey neighbour peers through a garden gate and sees three retired women she has seen before sitting on a sunny day, enjoying some tea. They invite her in. They chit-chat. But this is a Caryl Churchill play, it’s never going to be that simple.
