The new season revealed by Brixton House today comes from their win at the Stage Awards ‘Campaign of the Year’ in recognition for placing people and cultural value at the heart of its audiences and celebrating bold artistry and deep community connection.

An exciting program is planned, including co-productions that will challenge stereotypes, such as the humorous yet politically urgent My Uncle Is Not Pablo Escobar, and Nine Sixteenths will offer audiences some important theatre experiences in 2026.
Kicking off the season will be Far Gone, billed as a powerful one-man performance tracing a young boy's journey from innocence to survival. The Roots Mbili Theatre production, originally co-produced by Sheffield Theatres, is inspired by John Rwothomack's experience of nearly being kidnapped by the LRA. Far Gone is told through humour, poetry, and startling physical theatre. The "captivating and powerful" show plays from 11 to 21 February.
In April, Latinx women from South London take centre stage in My Uncle Is Not Pablo Escobar and dare you to call them invisible. Valentina Andrade, Elizabeth Alvarado, Lucy Wray, and Tommy Ross-Williams return from 7 April - 3 May following a sold-out run in 2023.
Looking for some '00s nostalgia through the media storm of Janet Jackson's 2004 halftime show, Paula Varjack''s Nine Sixteenths heads to the Brixton House theatre from 19-30 May. Devised by Paula Varjack, Pauline Mayers, Julienne Doko, Chia Phoenix, and Endy McKay; this production uses theatre, dance, and lip sync to portray the moment and the backlash that occurred after Justin Timberlake derailed Janet's career by exposing her breast on screen for nine sixteenths of a second.
The theatre's Housemate Festival will return this year. The month-long showcase champions were launched in 2022 and have since hosted 24 productions and rehearsed readings, seen over 200 performances, and sold more than 7,000 tickets, featuring debuts from award-winning creatives, including Emmanuel Akwafo (Limp Wrist & The Iron Fist).
Brixton House will also continue its partnership work and community collaborations across the next 12 months.
Delia Barker, Brixton House’s CEO says: “This is an exciting new season for Brixton House as we reinforce our commitment to celebrate diversity, develop and showcase talent, and connect with the creative aspirations of local communities that represent the cultural diaspora.”
