Thriller – Live: Boogie on down to Michael Jackson’s greatest hits

This is more of an exploration and celebration of singer-songwriter and street dance whizz Michael Jackson’s spectacular talents than a biography. It doesn’t cover every aspect of the great man’s life in any detail, but you’ll enjoy a fast-paced, runaway stream of massive smash hits that made him a household name worldwide.

Thriller Live – The Story

In 1988 Adrian Grant, the man behind the stage show, was so taken with Jackson’s talent that he created the world’s first Michael Jackson fan magazine. Two years later, with a circulation of more than twenty five thousand, he was invited to Jackson’s famous funfair-filled home, Neverland, and a lifelong friendship was born. Kicking off with Jackson’s early Motown and blues tunes and covering his disco, indie and pop smashes, this show tracks Jackson’s success through the decades via his music, an affectionate and respectful look at Jackson’s musical achievements from one of his greatest fans.

Thriller Live, a genuine West End musical masterpiece

Take your seats and boogie on down as the cast belts out song after wonderful song, covering the early Motown and Jackson Five days right up to the solo successes that made such an impression on generations of music lovers. And the dance sequences are simply breath-taking. If you were thrilled by Jackson’s pop videos you’ll be equally enthralled by this West End masterpiece.

The audience always participates in the Jackson classic Shake Your Body Down, giving you the opportunity to get involved and feel even closer to one of the greatest musical stars of our times. If you weren’t lucky enough to catch Michael Jackson live before his tragic death, the stage show goes a long way towards making up for it. Whatever your age, you’ll enjoy hearing his famous songs performed live on stage by a troupe of extremely talented people, with stunning costumes, fantastic choreography and, of course, every single one of the singer’s uniquely funky dance steps.

Thriller Live song list

This spectacular show contains thirty five of Michael Jackson’s greatest and best loved hits. Act one covers Music and Me, ABC, The Love You Save, I Want You Back and I’ll Be There. Show You the Way, This Place Hotel, Another Part of Me, Shake Your Body Down and Blame It On The Boogie. She’s Out of My Life, Off The Wall, Get on the Floor, Rock With You and Never Can Say Goodbye, Don’t Stop Til You Get Enough and Can You Feel It.

Act two sees the cast performing mega-hits Wanna Be Startin’ Somethin’, Working Day and Night, Dancing Machine, PYT, Beat It, The Way You Make Me Feel, I Just Can’t Stop Loving You, Smooth Criminal, Dirty Diana, Dangerous, Man in the Mirror, They Don’t Care About Us, Heal the World, Billie Jean, Thriller itself, Bad and Black or White.

London Box Office customer

Loved the show

London Box Office customer

Being big fans of MJ, we really enjoyed the show, it’s a feel good non stop party of hits but the 1st part of older sings was definitely more enjoyable, majority of singers & dancers were very good but Vivviene Ekwulugo was fantastic and deserves a special mention!

London Box Office customer

Not as goodbas theblaat thriller show

We expected the same Thriller show but was disapointed to see no atory of michael ae a kid etc. It was more justba musical thiantime.round. very disapointing.

London Box Office customer

Just amazing!

London Box Office customer

uplifting, very enjoyable, wanted to join in.

Dancing amazing, cast excellent and loved all the songs. Lovely escapism for a couple of hours, could have watched it all over again, though it is ur second time.

London Box Office customer

Perfect music, musicians, singers and dancers. Nice show, however, no real story. Some biographical facts only. No drama, no intrigues, no real play. That's dissappointing. In general, nice show.

London Box Office customer

Very classic, memorable

The Michael Jackson pop sing bring us so much memories for sure.

London Box Office customer

Loved it!

London Box Office customer

Limited

2nd half better than the first, would have liked to have learn't more about Michael's life, dancing was good, with a cast that were passionate, but this was a very limited west end show that lacked any kind of wow factor ..

London Box Office customer

Not was expected

Thriller live was not what I expected just a load of trained dancers dancing & singing to MJ songs, more X factor than an West End show, I say singing as there was more lip syncing going on than a 80s Top of the Pops. Overall the show was cheesy in parts and a bit mismashed, even a die hard Jackson fan would struggle to say its a fantastic show and I have seen better at a butlins resort.

London Box Office customer

We had the most amazing time. The staff were attentive from the moment we entered the theatre. The show everything and more and we believe everymwnber invokes deserves credit.

We were upgraded to a box, as one member of are party has crutches fantastic

London Box Office customer

Enjoy

Realy good Time un family Enjoy it

What a ‘Thriller’

If you like Michael Jackson music then this show is a must. Phenomenal show! This is our second visit to see ‘Thriller’ over last couple of years and it’s as good as I remembered it to be. I think it’s the best show I’ve ever seen as it’s so entertaining from start to finish. You’re so captivated by it that you’re not aware of the time at all. I’m not easily impressed but this impressed me! Everyone gives a top performance. Brilliant!

London Box Office customer

Not what I was expecting...

Not quite sure what I was expecting, but I dont think it was this.. I suppose I was expecting more of a play / story line where they break into song like most musicals, but this was mainly just singing and dancing with a bit of a narrative throughout.. I guess I was expecting to see the story of Michael Jackson being acted out by different people throughout his life / career - I wasnt expecting a woman to be singing either. She was good but it was like watching a holiday site cabaret at times. Some songs I didnt know - the dancers were excellent and the singing was great. But was it worth the money ? No... Very disappointing

London Box Office customer

Best show i´ve seen

So much fun, great music, fantastic dancers !

London Box Office customer

Great music

London Box Office customer

One of the male dancers were off every time, so it ruined the picture perfect, it could be more syncronized. Loved the music and the show, so I would go see it again

London Box Office customer

Fantastic

London Box Office customer

Super Show. Sometimes Music too noisy.

London Box Office customer

Thriller great but not what you think!

Some of you may have known, I did not. I went expecting to see a musical about the Life of MJ. Instead it was a well done tribute to his music. Still a wonderful show...just not what I expected.

London Box Office customer

Excellent show, amazing dancers and musicians

London Box Office customer

Excellent show

London Box Office customer

Not what I thought it would be

I found most of the first half boring but second half was better. In places it felt amateurish and had I not been in a group I may not have gone back for the second half, which would have been a shame because it was so much better, visually. I incorrectly thought there would be a storyline with songs to support it. Unfortunately it was just song after song, which is not my thing.

London Box Office customer

Must see - Jacko fan or not!!!

One of the best shows I have seen in recent times and reminds you of the creative genius and phenomenal performer Michael Jackson was.

London Box Office customer

Musical

Fantastic, brilliant, could not have been any better.

London Box Office customer

Magnificent representation of Michael Jackson

London Box Office customer

Spectacular

London Box Office customer

Just amazing - joyful and energetic. Loved it

London Box Office customer

Great

Had a great time. Entertained from beginning to end 😊

London Box Office customer

I was expecting more of the “michael jackson”

First half was deceiving but second half was better. Really would have hope for more hits and more of the michael replacement.

London Box Office customer

A catalogue of Jackson's music

This show is full of life and energy. The dancers have tremendous exergy and the song are performed in a true Michael Jackson manner. And there are so many songs squeezed ito the two hour show. Highly recommended to life those modern day blues.

London Box Office customer

Relive the MJ magic

Next best thing to going a concert. Great hits and audience participation. Fun throughout.

London Box Office customer

Loved it!

It was money well spent! Very entertaining I loved the music and reminiscing on Michael Jackson’s life. He will be greatly missed.

London Box Office customer

Thriller disappointment

Very amateurish, very disappointing would not recommend. It looked like some singers were miming The only highlight was the girl singe who had a good voice the others were so poor

London Box Office customer

A must see

The closest thing you'll get to a real Michael Jackson concert

London Box Office customer

Lively entertaining and great tribute to The King of Pop

London Box Office customer

Enjoyed but bit of a letdown

Seemed a bit cabaret at times and a lot of miming. Would have liked to have seen more of MJ singing and dancing.

London Box Office customer

Amazing

Amazing! The king of pop truly lives on is this production. A must for anyone!

London Box Office customer

WONDERFUL

London Box Office customer

Wonderfully fun.

You don’t need to be a fan of Michael Jackson to enjoy this show. We were skeptical, we purchased tickets and then read reviews, some were not good and this concerned us but we were thrilled with the performance, the whole crew worked so hard, sounded fantastic and danced amazingly. From beginning to end the energy was contagious. A fun evening.

London Box Office customer

Absolutely brilliant!

London Box Office customer

Awesome

London Box Office customer

Fantastic

In one word AMAZING

London Box Office customer

All the hits under one roof!

Absolutely loved this show, massive MJ fan, so energetic and the singing was spot on, would highly recommend!

London Box Office customer

Better show than he gave when he was alive.

I saw him at Wembley stadium may years ago and this was a more enjoyable show. Very good.

London Box Office customer

A must see show!!

The cast are brilliant, full of energy. It's non stop entertainment all night. They make you feel part of the show. Full of Michael Jackson's amazing songs. There's a live band accompanying the cast, which is great! The Michael Jackson performer is really good, you feel like you're watching the real thing! Have seen this show five times now and it won't be the last!

London Box Office customer

Must see if you like MJ

London Box Office customer

Great Tribute!

London Box Office customer

Nice

The show overall was very good but the actual Mj dancer wasnt singing live at all. He didnt put back the microphone at his lips on time it was obvious and disapointing . I didnt know it was going to be 4 different people singing, but their was very good! When I booked the tickets I was not restricted view but unfortunatly it was when we got there so did not have a clear view had to move our head a lot. Some people was talking all the way long and some looking at their phone but the staff was there professional to tel them off.

London Box Office customer

Uplifting show

Loved the show 2nd time for me but first for my sister and niece they absolutely loved it fantastic dancers and singers would thoroughly recommend it only down side was the woman with three children who came in late and kept talking and couldn’t control her children which was very annoying but netherless the show was brilliant

London Box Office customer

Must see for Jackson fans

Highly energetic show. Really good performances, great energy and dancing.

London Box Office customer

Fabulous musical

London Box Office customer

Excellent, fun show

OMG this was fantastic. It did not disappoint! The singing and dancing was amazing.

London Box Office customer

Very intertaining tribute to Michael Jackson’s career

Great voices, great band, sound and lights. Didn’t particularly enjoy the choreography (except from the classic Michael Jackson moves which were great) and the costumes. Liked the choice and flow of songs. All in all, a very intertaining couple of hours.

London Box Office customer

Feel good kind of show, loved the music!

London Box Office customer

Have to see if you’re an MJ fan!

London Box Office customer

Great Talent MJ would have been proud

I took my 11 year old to watch the show as a treat. It was her first time at the theatre. The performances were excellent. I must say that the little lad who played MJ’s character as a boy stole the show. There was one scene that was inappropriate for you kids and the other one thing I’d caution anyone that is about to purchase a ticket is that there are some parts of the theatre where it’s difficult to see as my view was restricted. I sat in the dress circle and luckily no one sat at the end in seat H12 so I was able to move across as it was next to where I was meant to sit. I was then able to enjoy a spectacular show. Loved that the audience was allowed to participate. I screamed “ I love you Michael” and my 11 year old agreed it felt so real.

London Box Office customer

Was wonderful

Thanks very much

London Box Office customer

You just have to see this show!!

London Box Office customer

Disappointed

London Box Office customer

Amazeballs

Absolutely loved the music the singers were outstanding and so were the dancers - thoroughly enjoyed the show, wished my seating was lower as nervous of heights and only ltd seating left
