So looking forward to the show and was excited to see Matilda's special powers. There was a very small glimpse of it during the second half. The songs told the story but not all were clear as the band music was louder than the singers. All performers were amazing.

My husband and I took 3 kids along aged 6, 9 and 12. We all absolutely loved the show. The singing and acting and dancing was fantastic. The kids are outstanding and miss Trunchball was the best! The staging, lighting and scenery are all to be admired. The only downside, and I think this was due to our seats being high up was that I couldn’t always understand or hear clearly what the actors were saying. I didn’t like ‘looking down’ on the stage- I think being high up you can lose some of the effects. I would definitely like to watch this again, but won’t go in the upper circle next time. It’s a shame the tickets are so expensive though to get a better view.

The characters all came out as you would have expected to find them in the book. Miss Trunchbull was formidable, Matilda the sweet looking innocent child that a little bit naughty! Miss Honey quiet, who found her voice as for the Wormwood family superb

Tired and underwhelming - the whole show was a let down sadly. We expected great things but the singing was the worst we have heard. I took my daughter and 6 year old granddaughter and we were all entranced by the show. The music dancing and story were all very well done. Having the lyrics available helped too though my granddaughter knee the word and sang along with some songs. Would definitely recommend

The show is a great show for the whole family. Outstanding cast and clever script and music. Unavoidably you’ll risk sweet rustling and overbearing parents with ill mannered children in the audience (as we experienced) but unfortunately many people that attend live theatre these days are so used to watching TV shows at home, they seem to have difficulty in telling the difference between live and recorded entertainment. That said, maybe we were just unlucky today. It’s a great feel good show that was thoroughly enjoyable 🙂

We came to watch Matilda for my daughter’s 6th birthday. She has seen the original movie, and I’ve read her the book it’s one of her absolute favourites. Right from the start, we were surprised with an unexpected and very welcome upgrade. We were seated quickly, and with a 14-year-old brother in tow, we weren’t sure how he’d enjoy it. But searching for the hidden words in the stage display became a fun activity for all of us. The show itself was spectacular. The songs, the acting, and every performance were sensational. My daughter was completely enthralled and couldn’t wait for Miss Trunchbull to appear and she was not disappointed! She left inspired and in awe of Matilda. The storyline flowed beautifully, and the backdrops and transitions were not only seamless but wonderfully entertaining. On the way home, my 14-year-old told us it was one of his best days of 2025 not just because he enjoyed the show, but because he loved seeing his sister so happy. We even bought a “Little Bit Naughty” T-shirt because… sometimes you do have to be a little bit naughty. Thank you for an unforgettable experience.

Good quality show, very entertaining. We have been however very disturb by the noise of all people eating sweets in plastic bags. That was a strong nuisance for most of my family (we were five). So anything you can do to limit that for the future will be valuable to the experience.

The show was quite a spectacle with clever stage sets, lightning, special effects and choreography. It was however too drawn out in places and children near by grew restless. The lead at the matinee on 28th Oct was disappointing: her high pitched slightly nasal voice made it difficult to understand her; the S and T enunciations were over amplified and sharp.

We flew over from Spain for a concert and decided to see Matilda the next day. Got seats in the stalls and the view was very good. The show was excellent and so emotional that it brought tears to my eyes. Fabulous actors, especially the Children, each and every one. The adult cast were very, very good too. Mrs Trunchbull was brilliant - the actor reminded me of a Riff Raff vs. Frank n Furter, so really loved the performance even more. Unfortunately one lady was very rude filming and taking photographs of the show.

It was sometimes difficult to understand the words due to the accent used in the show and the high voice of the actress who played Matilda, so we missed some of the clever sentences and jokes, but understood the general story. It was the first show I had taken my little boy to, it was a surprise for his 7th birthday. He really enjoyed it and was mesmerised all the way through. We all struggled slightly to hear Matilda at the beginning, but she did gain in confidence and sing louder as the show went on. We did still thoroughly enjoy it.

Really incredible show, nearly ruined by the jerks sitting in front of us on their phones, recording the event and checking their phone constantly. I wish the folks working would have said something to them. I even asked the usher and they never said anything to them even tho they assured me they would. The light was so distracting.
