This video of a flash mob in the Antwerpen-Centraal railway station dates back from 2009. It was organised for the launch of the talent competition Op zoek naar Maria (Looking for Maria). What starts as a bizarrely incongruous combination of two black actors delivering a hobo pastiche in which one repeatedly begs for quarters, (think Waiting For Godot or Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead overlayered with dust bowl/plantation motifs), morphs into a global rap tour as Tambo and Bones pursue the money and success central to the American Dream.

Urinetown to make a splash in the West End!

Urinetown, the hit Broadway musical with lyrics by Mark Hollmann, and book and lyrics by Greg Kotis has announced that it will transfer to the Apollo Theatre in the heart of London’s West End from 29 September 2014.
