Following his successful take on Ibsen’s THE WILD DUCK, the ground-breaking director Simon Stone returns to London this summer. Reinventing Lorca’s classic YERMA at THE YOUNG VIC the Australian theatre maker puts a huge emphasis on modernising the piece and by doing so he creates a breath-taking production which will leave many emotionally shattered.

Review: SHOW BOAT at the New London Theatre
By Phil Willmott Friday, August 5 2016, 10:04
There's just a few weeks left to catch director Daniel Evan’s beautiful production of classic musical SHOW BOAT at the New London Theatre.
Despite amazing reviews it’s struggled to find an audience and will close at the end of the month earlier than anticipated. Perhaps it’s not a well known enough classic but a classic it most definitely is, combining beautiful songs with comedy drama and romance.

Review: THE PLOUGH AND THE STARS at The National Theatre
By Nastazja Domaradzka Wednesday, August 3 2016, 09:44
THE PLOUGH AND THE STARS by Sean O’Casey is a legendary masterpiece. With 2016 being the centenary year of the Easter Rising in Ireland it made perfect sense for The NATIONAL THEATRE to stage the final of the ‘Dublin Plays’ trilogy. Although the directors, Jeremy Herrin and Howard Davies create some compelling moments, they still fail to bring the spirit of the piece alive; resulting in the production feeling somewhat irrelevant and stale.

Review: BREAKFAST AT TIFFANY'S at Haymarket Theatre
By Stuart King Monday, August 1 2016, 10:25
Adapted for the stage by Richard Greenberg (Tony Award winner for Take Me Out), Truman Capote’s “BREAKFAST AT TIFFANY’S” hits the Haymarket Theatre West End, with pint-sized pop princess Pixie Lott, reprising Audrey Hepburn’s classic 1961 film portrayal of the effortlessly chic, yet endearingly vulnerable Holly Golightly.

Review: JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR at Regent's Park Open Air Theatre
By Stacey Tyler Tuesday, July 26 2016, 12:00
Set in the picturesque surroundings of Regent's Park, the open-air theatre is a spectacle in itself, and even as you take your seat it is clear that this version of Jesus Christ Superstar is going to be very different from the arena version a few years back. Based on the most famous stories from the Bible: the week leading up to Jesus’ crucifixion, this Jesus Christ Superstar has been catapulted into the 21st century. From the stark concrete set to the Kanye West-esque costume, visually it would not have been out of place on the streets of London in 2016.
