Tina Turner is the new Rock Queen of the West End

There was plenty of press enthusiasm for TINA, a new musical based on the life of legendary artist Tina Turner, when it opened last night so it comes as no surprise that this morning producers announced that 140,000 new tickets will go on sale today and you can now book until 16 February 2019.

Catch Some of The Olivier Award Recognised Productions Right Now

In a glittering ceremony last night leading figures from the West End celebrated the best of London Theatre over the past twelve months.
It was dominated, as expected, by New York’s mega hit, the rap musical HAMILTON, currently playing at London’s Victoria Palace Theatre, which picked up seven awards.

Review: THE INHERITANCE at the Young Vic

In Stephen Daldry’s elegant production, on Bob Crowley’s beautiful, simple and evocative set it feels, and is, epic; lasting seven-hours and performed in two parts, over two performances.

Review: RUTHLESS at the Arts Theatre

RUTHLESS is a small scale, off Broadway musical from 1992 by Joel Paley and Marvin Laird, with just 6 characters, all of them female, one played by a man in drag. The drag element is a useful way to describing the tone of the piece which presents women not as nuanced 3 dimensional characters but as the kind of grotesques that some gay men like to dress up as and emulate.
