Review of La Soirée at Southbank Centre’s Winter Festival
By Daniel Perks Tuesday, November 18 2014, 12:27
Definitely not a show for children, with the slightly naughty burlesque nudity to it. But the adults that go will be as amazed as any child seeing their first circus act, as there are some great performances here.
When you walked down London’s Southbank during the summer months, it was hard not to see the circus tent set up just by the London Eye, marking the start of the Southbank’s London Wonderground summer season. Once we get into the winter months, now walking down the Southbank people are beginning to see the Christmas market stalls being set up to mark the opening of the Southbank Centre’s Winter Festival. This year though, the circus tent has remained and this ‘Spiegeltent’ is playing host to La Soirée for those winter months. Mulled cider and acrobatics, sounds like a pretty brilliant combination!

Review of Dance 'til Dawn
By Phil Willmott Monday, November 10 2014, 07:49
If you’re looking for an undemanding night of fun and glamour this is the show for you. It hasn’t had a lot of press attention, a victim of snobbery from both theatre critics and dance critics who’ve largely ignored it’s arrival in town but don’t let that put you off, it’s their loss.
Vincent and Flavia are two former stars of the TV show STRICTLY COME DANCING, they’re so popular that canny producer Adam Spiegel has spotted they could fill big theatres and got them together with the award winning choreographer and director, Karen Bruce to fashion a fun show that showcases their talent. They don’t sing or act but boy, do they dance!
