frankie goes to bollywood

Frankie Goes To Bollywood will transfer to the Queen Elizabeth Hall at the Southbank Centre from 31 July - 18 August 2024.

The new musical follows the main character Frankie who is suddenly immersed in the world of Bollywood stardom; it celebrates the big, bold, romantic all-singing-all-dancing tale of heroes and villains, and the breath-taking spectacle that is Bollywood. In many ways, the show is a love letter to Bollywood, but it also shines a light on the darker undercurrent of the industry and what is expected of young South Asian women to make it to the top.

Conceived by Artistic Director of Rifco, Pravesh Kumar MBE, Frankie Goes To Bollywood drew inspiration from both traditional Bollywood music and the best of Western musical theatre.

The cast includes Laila Zaidi as Frankie, Helen K Wint as Malika, Shakil Hussain as Rau King, Gigi Zahir as Shona, Navin Kundra as Prem and Katie Stasi as Goldy/Raju's Mother.
