PIPPIN 50th Anniversary concert in the West End planned

Starring the Tony Award-winning Broadway star of Shucked, Alex Newell, PIPPIN In Concert will take place on 1 and 2 April. PIPPIN In Concert will feature a 25-piece orchestra and a 50-strong choir.

What is PIPPIN in Concert about?

PIPPIN has an infectiously unforgettable score by Stephen Schwartz, including 'Corner of the Sky' and 'Magic To Do'. The musical is a soul-searching exploration of one man's journey to find himself, his place and his purpose in life.

Heir to the Frankish throne, Pippin is a young prince in search of the secret to true happiness and fulfillment. He seeks it in the glories of the battlefield, the temptations of the flesh and the intrigues of political power. In the end, Pippin will discover that happiness lies not in extraordinary endeavours but in the unextraordinary moments that happen every day.
