Lead cast announced for YOUR LIE IN APRIL

The lead actors have been announced for Your Lie in April ahead of its 12-week run at the Harold Pinter Theatre from 28 June - 21 September.

Leading the show will be Zheng Xi Yong (Spring Awakening) as Kosei Arima, Rachel Clare Chan (Oliver!) as Tsubaki Sawabe and Dean John-Wilson (The King and I) as Ryota Watari, who all starred in the concert version of the show last month at Theatre Royal Drury Lane. They are joined by Mia Kobayashi, making her professional debut, as Kaori Miyazono.

Based on what is considered one of the most popular romantic stories and greatest tearjerkers in Japanese manga history, Your Lie in April follows a young piano prodigy who is unable to perform following his mother's death. His life then changes when he strikes a friendship with a talented violinist.

The manga has sold over 7.5 million copies in 17 countries since it was first published in 2011. Since then, Your Lie in April has been adapted into a 22-part anime TV series in 2014, and a live-action film in 2016. Now translated from a Japanese musical which was first seen in 2022, this will be the perfect production for fans of manga to get stuck into.
