WARHEADS styles itself a punchy urban drama, based as it is, on a true story. But is there room for yet another deconstruction of PTSD and the trials and tribulations of a soldier returning from the horrors of war? In this case, the short answer is, yes (with minor reservations).

Review: BLUES IN THE NIGHT at The Kiln
By Nicky Allpress Friday, August 2 2019, 20:04
A series of heart-wrenching and toe-tapping songs speak to us, of love, loneliness, sex drugs and hedonism that ultimately celebrate the strength of the human spirit in spite of hardship. A live jazz band backing a set of incredible voices is a joy to experience at the recently refurbished Kiln Theatre which has clearly invested in state-of-the-art system that makes quality sound soar. Four souls simply named The Woman, The Lady, The Girl and The Man take turns in singing their story of life’s highs and lows and at times become entwined in mutual understanding of each other’s journey.

Review: PETER PAN at Troubadour White City Theatre
By Isabella James Saturday, July 27 2019, 18:15
This co-production from The National Theatre and Bristol Old Vic stays very true to J.M. Barrie’s story of a young boy who refuses to grow-up. An ensemble cast of musicians and dancers thrust Peter Pan and Wendy into a colourful Neverland with a creative design and stunning aesthetic.
