Review: BLUES IN THE NIGHT at The Kiln

Blues in the Night A series of heart-wrenching and toe-tapping songs speak to us, of love, loneliness, sex drugs and hedonism that ultimately celebrate the strength of the human spirit in spite of hardship. A live jazz band backing a set of incredible voices is a joy to experience at the recently refurbished Kiln Theatre which has clearly invested in state-of-the-art system that makes quality sound soar. Four souls simply named The Woman, The Lady, The Girl and The Man take turns in singing their story of life’s highs and lows and at times become entwined in mutual understanding of each other’s journey.
