Ruthie Henshall to join the cast of Billy Elliot the Musical

Billy Elliot the Musical It has been announced that Oliver award-winning actor Ruthie Henshall will join the cast of Billy Elliot to play dance teacher Mrs Wilkinson. Henshall’s first performance will be on 12 May 2014, nine years to the day since Billy Elliot the Musical officially opened at the Victoria Palace Theatre.

Review of The Book of Mormon at the Prince of Wales Theatre

The Book of Mormon Heaven in the West End does exist and it can be found at the Prince of Wales Theatre.

There has been a lot of media coverage of new musical The Book of Mormon due to a PR campaign that could rival a major Hollywood blockbuster, but what they all fail to mention is that this musical is of celestial nature in more than one way. The production doesn’t just deal with religion in song and dance; it leaves audiences practically walking on air, if not on water. The Book of Mormon is truly the last supper of musical theatre, as the pleasure-giving, awe-inspiring, riotously funny show feeds its audience with delicious entertainment to rival all others.

Back to the Future stage musical to arrive in the West End in 2015

Back To The Future Musical in London A stage musical version of cult 1980s time travel film Back to the Future is set to arrive in the West End next year. The science fiction action adventure film starred Michael J Fox as Marty McFly – the high school kid that travels back to 1955, the crucial point of his parents meeting and the reason for his own existence. The stage version will reunite co-writer and director Robert Zemeckis with his fellow collaborator Bob Gale as they are both writing the musicals book together.
