If celebrity attendees on press nights are any measure of whether a show is likely to be a hot ticket, then EUREKA DAY seems destined to play to packed houses for the duration of its run at the Old Vic.

Review: THE APOLOGY at Arcola Theatre

The Apology During the Japanese occupation of Korea during the Second World War, women and girls were encouraged to do their patriotic duty by joining the Female Volunteer Corps. In Kyo Choi’s play directed by Ria Parry, we learn through a series of testimonies, that the organisation’s idiomatic name was little more than a bureaucratic smokescreen to facilitate a supply of sex slaves for the occupying troops. The thousands of victims, often duped into believing they would be serving as nurses, were referred to as comfort women.

Tom Chambers - ELF the Musical in London Based on the hilarious 2003 movie starring Will Ferrell, Elf’s show tunes come from the Tony Award nominees Matthew Sklar and Chad Beguelin. This new production is directed by Philip Wm. McKinley, with set and costume design by Tim Goodchild, choreography by Liam Steel, lighting design by Patrick Woodroffe, sound by Gareth Owen, video design by Ian William Galloway, and wig and hair design by Richard Mawbey.

Wicked welcomes Mark Curry back as The Wizard

Mark Curry as the Wizard in Wicked The well-loved actor and TV presenter Mark Curry is back to delight us in Wicked, playing the Wizard from 18th October 2022. The wonderful Gary Wilmot will make his final performance in the role on Sunday 16th October. As Mark Curry said, “I'm thrilled to be returning to Oz after 5 years away and to have this opportunity to play The Wizard again in the incredible Wicked”. The rest of the cast remains the same.
