Production images released for SHUCKED at Regent's Park Open Air Theatre

The musical, which features a book by Robert Horn and music & lyrics by Brandy Clark and Shane McAnally, has made its much-anticipated UK premiere in the beautiful surroundings of the Regent's Park Open Air Theatre this month.

Jack O'Brien directs the production which includes the following cast: Monique Ashe-Palmer (Standing at the Sky's Edge, Gillian Lynne Theatre) as Storyteller 1, Ben Joyce (Back to the Future The Musical, Adelphi Theatre) as Beau), Sophie McShera (The Entertainer, The Garrick London) as Maizy, Georgina Onuorah (Little Shop of Horrors, Sheffield Crucible) as Lulu, Keith Ramsay (The Play That Goes Wrong, Duchess Theatre) as Peanut, Matthew Seadon-Young (The Baker's Wife, Menier Chocolate Factory) as Gordy and Steven Webb (Here You Come Again, UK Tour and Riverside Studios) as Storyteller 2.

Completing the cast for Shucked is Jonathan Andrew Hume (Guys and Dolls, Bridge Theatre) as Grandpa, with the Ensemble consisting of Taila Halford (Kin a New Musical, The Other Palace), Ross Harmon (Wicked, Apollo Victoria), Claudia Kariuki (Six, Vaudeville), Tom Oliver (The Little Big Things, @sohoplace), Gleanne Purcell-Brown (Pippin: 50th Anniversary Concert, Theatre Royal Drury Lane) and Toyan Thomas-Browne (MJ The Musical, Prince Edward). Nathaniel Purnell (The Time Traveller's Wife, Apollo Theatre), Jed Berry (Wicked, UK Tour), Rachel Rawlinson (Six, Vaudeville), and Mia Shelbourne (professional debut) complete the cast as Swings.

Shucked is a Tony Award-winning musical comedy about an unlikely hero, an unscrupulous con artist, and a battle for the heart and soil of a small town. It will make a great addition to your theatre plans at the start of summer.

It runs at the Regent's Park Open Air Theatre until 14 June 2025.
