West End leading ladies cast for new musical Mrs Henderson Presents

Not one but two West End leading ladies have been cast in the upcoming musical version of Mrs Henderson Presents. Emma Williams and Janie Dee will lead the cast when the production opens at Bath Theatre Royal from 14 August 2015, before a scheduled transfer to the West End.


The RSC's new play Oppenheimer comes to the West End

The Royal Shakespeare Company has announced that their new play Oppenheimer will transfer to the West End on the 7 March 2015.
Written by Tom Morton-Smith, the production will run at the Vaudeville Theatre for a very limited eight-week period, following a sell out run at the RSC’s home in Stratford-upon-Avon.


Comedic bliss comes to Wyndhams Theatre this summer in The Mentalists

The Mentalists, Richard Bean’s dark comedy is to open at the Wyndhams Theatre for a strictly limited run from 3 July to 26 September 2015.
This revival of Richard Bean’s 2002 play will star BAFTA Award-winning writer, actor and stand-up comedian Stephen Merchant, making his West End debut. Joining Merchant on stage will be Steffan Rhodri, the star of the BBC’s ever-popular comedy series Gavin & Stacey.


Could Elf the musical come to the West End?

Word of the theatrical grapevine is that the musical adaptation of the cult 2003 Christmas film Elf, that stared Will Farrell, could be coming to the West End this Christmas.
The production is rumoured to arrive at the Dominion Theatre from 24 October 2015 and run for a very limited 10-week run over the Christmas period.
