In this modern dress adaptation of Strindberg's 1888 1 Act play, MISS JULIE, It’s Julie’s (Vanessa Kirby) birthday and she’s throwing a massive party at her father’s mansion. People come in and out of the house but there is a feeling of boredom around Julie. She is determined to entertain herself and hide from real life; her escapism is filled with drugs and alcohol.

It's because the Almeida Theatre have announced a much anticipated transfer of their production of Summer and Smoke which moves from a critically acclaimed run in their small Islington venue to the Duke of York’s Theatre from 10th November to 19th January.

John Logan’s play RED is enjoying a successful revival with a limited run (until end July) at Wyndhams Theatre and would appeal to those of an artistic inclination, or anyone who simply enjoys erudite, aesthetic verbosity - however unrealistic and flowery the phrasing occasionally feels.
