Comedic bliss comes to Wyndhams Theatre this summer in The Mentalists

The Mentalists The Mentalists, Richard Bean’s dark comedy is to open at the Wyndhams Theatre for a strictly limited run from 3 July to 26 September 2015.

This revival of Richard Bean’s 2002 play will star BAFTA Award-winning writer, actor and stand-up comedian Stephen Merchant, making his West End debut. Joining Merchant on stage will be Steffan Rhodri, the star of the BBC’s ever-popular comedy series Gavin & Stacey.

Comedian Sean Hughes joins The Railway Children

The Railway Children Comedian and West End actor Sean Hughes will join the cast of The Railway Children, currently playing to sell-out crowds at the purpose build Kings Cross Theatre.

Hughes will take over the role of kind-hearted stationmaster Mr Perks from 17 March 2015. He will play opposite the stellar cast of Louise Calf (Phyllis), Jack Hardwick (Peter), Caroline Harker (Mother), Connie Hyde (Mrs Viney), Moray Treadwell (Old Gentleman), Serena Manteghi (Bobbie), Mark Hawkins (Jim), Andrew Loudon (Father/Doctor) and Blair Plant (Schepansky).

Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown There's a festive Spanish atmosphere from the moment you enter the Playhouse Theatre with flamenco music and appropriately themed drink deals.

Taking your seat, the stage before you contains a simple stylish design by Anthony Ward, a white walkway surrounding a big white box with a few bold blocks of colour to either side. Immediately this suggests the delicious chic of the 80s movie on which this new-ish musical is based.

Could Elf the musical come to the West End?

Elf the musical Word of the theatrical grapevine is that the musical adaptation of the cult 2003 Christmas film Elf, that stared Will Farrell, could be coming to the West End this Christmas.

The production is rumoured to arrive at the Dominion Theatre from 24 October 2015 and run for a very limited 10-week run over the Christmas period.

Kerry Ellis takes over from Nicole Scherzinger in Cats tonight!

Cats After winning over both audience and critics throughout the Christmas season, Pussy Cat Doll and international superstar Nicole Scherzinger has belted out her last rendition of Memory in the amazing revival of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Cats.
