A Trojan Woman will play at the King's Head Theatre for a limited run from 3 December.
Drita Kabashi will play all of the characters in the production. Portraying gods Athena and Poseidon to the prophet Cassandra, who is doomed to never be believed, A Trojan Woman is a retelling of the Euripides classic brought to the modern day.
The production premiered in Athens where it was performed as a protest against the Peloponnesian War. A Trojan Woman depicts the cost of conflict through the lens of the woman of the Iliad and their children. It will premiere at the King's Head Theatre, bringing an unforgettable mix of biting satire with an underlying amount of rage to the forefront.
The creative team includes costume by Suzanne Bocanegra, sound designer Mike Cassedy, producer Rachel Ackerman and tour and stage manager Hanna Yurfest.
A Trojan Woman will play at the King's Head Theatre from 3 - 9 December 2024.
