Rehearsal images have been released for Legally Blonde The Musical ahead of a brand-new UK and Ireland tour this year, 10 years after the last revival of the show, which also began in Leicester.

Curve Theatre in Leicester's Artistic Director, Nikolai Foster, will direct the brand-new production of Heather Hach, Laurence O'Keefe, and Nell Benjamin's musical. Foster also directs the upcoming West End transfer of Kinky Boots at the London Coliseum this Spring following its sold-out UK tour last year.
The musical is a huge hit with theatre lovers; it made its debut on Broadway in 2007 before a West End transfer happened in 2010 and starred Sheridan Smith (who currently stars in Woman in Mind).
Based on the novel by Amanda Browning and the iconic 2001 film of the same name, Legally Blonde follows Elle Wood's transformation from 'It Girl' fashionista to a legal ace at Harvard Law School, all to win back her ex-boyfriend's heart. It's a story about defying stereotypes to discover her true potential.
Starring in the cast is Amber Davies (The Great Gatsby, London Coliseum) as Elle Woods, Hannah Lowther (Six The Musical) as Margot / Alternate Elle, George Crawford (The Great Gatsby, London Coliseum) as Emmett, Karen Mavundukure (Stranger Things, West End) as Paulette, Adam Cooper (A Chorus Line, Curve/Sadler’s Wells) as Callahan, Jamie Chatterton (The Little Big Things, Soho Place) as Warner, Annabelle Terry (Scissorhandz, Southwark Playhouse Elephant) as Vivienne, Jocasta Almgill (Grease, Dominion Theatre) as Brooke, Rosanna Harris (Grease, UK Tour) as Serena and Remi Ferdinand (Hamilton, West End) as Pilar. With Ty-Reece Stewart (Footballer’s Wives, Assembly Rooms Edinburgh) as Kyle and Bradley Delarosbel (A Chorus Line, Sadler’s Wells/Curve/Japan) as Carlos.
The cast is completed by Keanna Bloomfield (The Sound of Music, Curve), James Lim (Clueless, Trafalgar Theatre), Aaron Shales (&Juliet, West End/UK & Ireland Tour), Jaime Tait (Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, West End), Daisy Twells (Muriel’s Wedding, Curve), Louie Wood (Billy Elliot, Curve), Raiaz Fisher (TINA: The Tina Turner Musical, Aldwych Theatre), Dylan Gordon-Jones (Freaky Friday The Musical, Home Manchester), Lauren Hampton (Half a Sixpence, Bristol Hippodrome) and Ollie Hart-Bradford (Legally Blonde, Curve).
The creative team for the UK and Ireland tour, which starts in February, includes choreography by Leah Hill (Kinky Boots, UK and Ireland tour)with musical supervision & additional arrangements by Matt Spencer-Smith (Here & Now, Birmingham Alexandra & UK and Ireland tour), set design by Colin Richmond (The Little Big Things, Soho Place), costume design by Tom Rogers (Here & Now, Birmingham Alexandra & UK and Ireland tour), wigs, hair & make-up design by Sam Cox (Moulin Rouge, West End, Broadway and International Tour), lighting design by Ben Cracknell (The Wizard of Oz, London Palladium), sound design by Adam Fisher (Evita, London Palladium) and casting by Harry Blumenau CDG CDA.
Legally Blonde the Musical will play at the New Wimbledon Theatre from 20-24 October 2026.
