A revival of Oscar Wilde's comedy of manners The Importance of Being Earnest is set to arrive in the West End this summer. The production will star Sian Phillips and Nigel Havers and is directed by Lucy Bailey at the Harold Pinter Theatre.

The Buzz about new West End musical, MADE IN DAGENHAM

Made in Dagenham It’s great to hear the musical based on the film MADE IN DAGENHAM is going ahead. It opens at the Adelphi Theatre in November starring Gemma Arterton as a trade union leader and is directed by Rupert Gould.

I’ve been excited to see it since I heard gossip about the workshop from people who were there.

Back to the Future stage musical to arrive in the West End in 2015

Back To The Future Musical in London A stage musical version of cult 1980s time travel film Back to the Future is set to arrive in the West End next year. The science fiction action adventure film starred Michael J Fox as Marty McFly – the high school kid that travels back to 1955, the crucial point of his parents meeting and the reason for his own existence. The stage version will reunite co-writer and director Robert Zemeckis with his fellow collaborator Bob Gale as they are both writing the musicals book together.

War Horse is celebrating its 2000th performance in the West End

War Horse Great to see War Horse is celebrating its 2000th performance in the West End with a series of eye catching photo opportunities including Joey, the main “horse” from the show taking a trip on the London eye!

Shame the Metro described him as “mechanised”. The real glory of these extraordinarily life size puppets is there’s nothing mechanised or animatronic about them. The beautifully co-ordinated and very realistic horse movements are achieved in a gloriously low-tech way simply by having a team of puppeteers lugging the leather and wicker frames around the stage.

Miss Saigon dates released for the West End revival

Miss Saigon Dates have this week been announced for the West End return of Miss Saigon. In what will be the 25th anniversary year since Miss Saigon first premiered on the London stage, Miss Saigon will begin its run at the Prince Edward Theatre from 3 May 2014. Bookings will go on sale 9 September, with bookings being taken until 25 October 2014.
