First of all can I give a quick plug for the last few days of THE FREE THEATRE FESTIVAL in the outdoor amphitheatre next to City Hall on the South Bank.
I’ve directed CAPTAIN SHOW OFF, adapted for families from the Roman comedies of Plautus playing at 6pm, and the epic ancient Greek drama, WOMEN OF TROY which starts at 8pm. Both productions are free to watch and it’s an amazing experience to sit in a crown of up to 800 watching these classics under the night sky.

The musical KINKY BOOTS is currently in previews and by all accounts audiences are loving it. I saw the original Broadway production and it’s undoubtedly a crowd pleaser.

James Phillip's play McQueen takes us into the mind of celebrated fashion designer, Alexander McQueen and explores the struggle he faced balancing a celebrity life style with the pressure to produce constant, ground-breaking designs on demand. The story is slow to get going and a little confusing to begin with but as the play progresses the plot unravels with an unexpected twist and it becomes extremely engaging and even heart-breaking at times.


New cast set to join Sunny Afternoon from October 2015

The Olivier Award-winning production of Sunny Afternoon, currently playing to packed houses at the Harold Pinter Theatre in the heart of London’s West End has announced the new cast members due to take over from 5 October 2015.
