Evening All Afternoon in London
Tickets are on sale for the world premiere of Evening All Afternoon, running at the Donmar Warehouse until 11th April. In this witty and heartbreaking two-hander, buttoned-up British Jennifer is about to become confident, Jamaican-American Delilah's stepmother. She's desperate to connect with her new stepdaughter, but the two women couldn't be more different, and the fiery Delilah is still grieving her mother's death and unwilling to accept her father's new wife. But as the world shifts under their feet, Jennifer and Delilah must summon the quiet courage to open their hearts again and bridge the divide between them.
Evening All Afternoon is a story about things lost and things remembered, what it means to be human, and how sometimes we need to face what's no longer there in order to live. This tender, moving new play is written by multi award-winner Anna Ziegler (Photograph 51, The Wanderers), directed by Diyan Zora (Olivier Award-nominated English for the RSC, Roots at the Almeida), and stars Anastasia Hille as Jennifer and Erin Kellyman (28 Years Later) as Delilah in her stage debut. It's been praised as “hypnotic… very funny” (The Times) with “beautifully judged performances”(The Telegraph).
