West End Cabaret for April and May

West End cabaret venue CRAZY COQS which allows you to see theatre stars in intimate solo performances has announced a Cabaret Festival for April and May.
Artists appearing include Theatre Land favourites Dillie Keane, Barb Jungr, Michelle Brourman, Jessica Martin, William Ludwig and Dean Austin


The RSC release Shakespeare DVDs to enjoy at home

One of theatre’s great innovations in recent years has been the filming of hit productions, enabling us to enjoy them on screen after they've finished their runs in live venues.
There was a time when producers may have worried it would affect sales if the public knew they had the cheaper option of watching a film of a hit show rather than paying four times the amount to see the production in the theatre.

Producer Bill Kenwright is to be congratulated for taking that most dangerous of financial risks, launching a new musical in the West End. Recent attempts to do so, MADE IN DAGENHAM and BEND IT LIKE BECHAM failed to turn into long running hits.


Full Cast Announced for SUNSET BOULEVARD

At London’s Coliseum theatre the beleaguered, cash strapped English National Opera are mounting a staged concert of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s SUNSET BOULEVARD, a sure fire box office hit.
We’ve known for some time that it will star Hollywood’s Glenn Close reprising the role she played in the US. Full casting has now been announced along with the release of extra tickets.


Mark the 400 Anniversary of Shakespeare’s Death at The National Theatre

The National Theatre is one of a number of theatre’s marking the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare's death next month.
As befitting the London’s most prestigious venue there offering is particularly interesting, coordinated for the Shakespeare400 Partnership, by King's College London.
