THRILLER LIVE, the West Ends high energy, feel good celebration of all things Michael Jackson have just sent out a press release marking the fact that they’re now the 16th longest running musical in West End history (as at Sunday 18 December, 2016).
Looking down the chart it’s surprising the number of other great shows that are still with us. Here’s an “at a glance” guide to which of them you can still enjoy and why they’re still thrilling audiences, and which we may see again.

Review: MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET at the Royal Festival Hall

If you're after an evening of uplifting, unpretentious, pure entertainment on a dark winter night, and if you love rock and roll, then this is the show for you.
Clever Floyd Mutrux recognised the potential for a juke box show when he saw a photograph of Elvis, Johnnie Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins gathered together in the HQ of Sun Records to whom they were all signed at one time or another.


Review: LOVE at the National Theatre

On stage at the National Theatre's smaller venue they have recreated with incredible artistry what it would be like to live in some ghastly holding facility whilst you wait for council accommodation this Christmas.
Under harsh neon lights we watch a family of 4, with another child on the way, who have been made homeless by a greedy landlord and are now experiencing life in a tiny room next door to an incontinent old lady and her psychologically fragile son. They all use the same cheerless communal kitchen area shared with other residents and this space is our central focus, with the bedrooms and the one toilet, used by everyone, leading off of it.


A West End Tale of Tina Turner Announced

Shows about real life pop and rock artists which include their greatest hits have been big business on Broadway and in London for a decade or so now and are popular with audiences who know they'll hear songs they already love.
